Random no-start, fine after jump-starting?

2007 CR-V randomly won't start, then the electronics (dome light, automatic locking on doors, etc) slowly go out after that. Car runs fine again after being jumped. Battery is about 6 years old, but battery voltages all look fine (12.2V, drops to 10.4V when starting, up to 14.5V when running), and none of the typical alternator solutions jump out at me. Starter was replaced this summer.

Immediately after this happens, you can hear the starter clicking, but the engine doesn't try to turn over. Try a couple more times, then the dome lights and headlights go out. Auto lock/unlock car, then dome lights and headlights come back on. Try a couple more times, then the car gives up.

To fix the issue, I can either (a) jump the car, or (b) disconnect and reconnect the battery.

(b) makes me think that there is something wacky going on with the CR-V's "computer" - maybe an anti-theft system issue. Of note, when the car is off, the anti-theft is the only thing still blinking, but maybe that's just because its very low power.

Any ideas on what the cause is? Thanks in advance!

12.2 VDC is low. Low voltage is the enemy of auto electronics.

Recommend buying a new one....

Agreed I would try a new battery first. The auto parts store can load test yours. Batteries can show good voltage at rest but that's very different from supplying current under load.

12.2 volts seems to show the battery is a bit weak.
The random no start and the clicking sound both indicate a weak battery.
The dome lights going out is more symptomatic of a high resistance connection
The more current it tries to draw, the higher the resistance is seen.
Anyway, a new battery will help for now.
Better would be to clean up the battery posts, cable terminals, and any ground connections

The vehicle being over 10 years old, there are more maintenance that needs to be done
Some not listed in the manual. Short of doing the cleaning, should carry around a portable jump starter.
