Rattle when accelerating low revs after belt tensioner replacement

Honda CR-V 2010 150km

Changed belt then belt tensioner, rattle now occurs when rev’ing slow from stop or coasting around 30mph

Hey everyone.

Thanks for helping me identify and fix the belt tensioner issue with my 2010 Honda CRV (rattling while in drive/idle).

Now that issue is gone I’ve noticed another issue - when I accelerate lightly from a full stop, I hear rattling from the same area. It goes away if I hit the gas further and doesn’t happen all the time.

I’ll see if I can get a video but any ideas or even ideas to diagnose while not driving (in the garage).

Belt was changed first a month ago - it would slightly squeak on startup when raining then one day it was squealing loud so I went to a mechanic to change it (the belt).

Then I started hearing a slight rumble on idle (drive) which replacing the belt tensioner fixed.

Now I’m having this issue and not quite sure how to diagnose. (This is my first post. How do I post a video?)

thanks!

Thanks! It seems like I can only (50% of the time) replicate it on low revs in drive. When it’s parked, I can’t replicate it. Which is why I’m also struggling to diagnose.

there was an earlier thread a few days ago which seemed very similar and a belt change fixed the issue. My mechanic apparently changed the belt about a month ago so I can’t see why it’d be bad now?
