Did ours yesterday.
Jacked up the rear and secured it with stands, then jacked up the front until the rear cargo area was level.

Crack open the fill plug before you remove the drain plug.

To fill, I use a cheap syringe pump

No it's fine I might buy some second hand ramps I could put the back end on ramps then jack up the front what you think?

I've done rear diff a number of times and did not use ramps or lifts. You can use a creeper pad or just lay on the ground and easily get to the drain and fill bolts. for me on a 2007 Japan built CRV it's just a 3/8" extension to loosen the plugs. Be sure to replace the crush washers and use the correct fluid. For adding fluid I use a little manual pump like this.

You ideally want to be on level ground without lifting the rear for changing diff fluid anyway.

Done diff oil today for the first time, no ramps, no jack required.
Just lay under the car from the boot end, i found that fill plug was tight as hell so attached a 3/8 ratchet end...leave it there, hold on to the boot and push it with your foot.....please note DO NOT do this the same way with the drain as the thread is opposite....end up tightening instead!
Use a syringe and keep filling until it overlows, then with new crush washers refill....do a number of laps around a car park and repeat the process. Job done
