I know this issue has come up before, but I thought I'd try anyway. I have a 2012 CR-V and just today I started getting the round red light blinking when the car is off. I always saw the one near the CD player, but never this one until today. It blinks fast for the first 5 seconds after locking there door, and then every 3 seconds after that, (I've timed it several times). I realize this is the security system blinking, but my question is about the time frame I mentioned. I've read a few forums where people have said theirs only blinks once every 5 to 10 seconds. Is there a reason my blinks faster, or are they maybe off on their estimation? Thank you

If the immobilizer code is identified, the immobilizer indicator quickly flashes once when the ignition switch is turned ON.
The immobilizer indicator does not come on when the ignition switch is turned OFF.
Immobilizer code is not identified
If the immobilizer code is not identified, the immobilizer indicator will quickly flash once, then will blink until the ignition switch is turned OFF. When the ignition switch is turned OFF, the indicator will blink ten times, then go OFF.
Though this doesn't sound like what you are seeing.
