Don’t laugh but I just discovered the pleasure of Sport mode!
Now, before I make a habit of selecting it often, can I ask those of you that live in Sport mode how badly does it destroy mpg? I mean what’s not to like, nice throttle response, better braking, handling and the gear shifting recordings are cool.
So, mpg wise, will I regret using this feature?

I’d would be in sport mode all the time if not for the amplified fake shifting. Don’t get me wrong. I definitely appreciate it so there isn’t a constant drone of engine noise while accelerating in normal and Econ, But in sport mode it’s obnoxiously annoying. Keep it on and check your mileage. It might actually go down for you because you’ll think you’re going faster than you actually are thanks to the amplified fake engine sounds.

I use Sport Mode all the time. As far as MPG, I find that it doesn't make much difference, and I can even beat Normal Mode MPG if I stay disciplined enough. The way I see it, it's more about control and awareness of the regen braking levels.

I do like having constant access to the power that the CR-V is capable of. Why stunt the performance if I paid for it? Traffic is crazier than ever these days, having the full acceleration on tap makes it easier to drive. I do agree that the artificial rev noise can get annoying.

However, I do have concerns if the durability is somehow sacrificed in the EV motor, battery, or something else (?) in the drivetrain.
