Used CRV 2018 vs 2019 EX Differences

I'm looking to buy my first CRV but there's something that for the life of me I can't seem to find the answer to on the differences between 2018 and 2019 CRV EX models.

I know that there was a factory fix for the oil dilution issue and a fix for existing 2018s in many states, but is the fix identical for both those years or would 2019s still be less likely to have the issue due to a hardware change as well or anything? I know the issue is essentially fixed as of 2019, but is the 2018 just as problem free if the fix was applied? What about the AC/heat issue? Are both years just as good on that?

Sorry if this has been beat to death but I've looked through many pages of the master OD thread and couldn't find the answer to this.

For peace of mind regarding to the fix, I would go for 2019 or newer. Originally planned to look for a used 2019 EXL, ended up buying a new hybrid after the test drive.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who was sold on the hybrid after a test drive.
I was actually sold before I left the dealer's lot, but I wasn't going to say so at that time.
I liked the engineering so I knew I was interested, but the drive sealed the deal.
I did drive a 1.5T, nothing wrong with it, but I liked the hybrid better, and it was only $1200 more.

This doesn't answer your question, but it may help in your purchase. At Your Auto Advocate - Solutions for car buyers that want the best deal - Your Auto Advocate you can run reports to see price history (drops/increases), how long it's been on the lot and recommended offer. The first 10 reports per month are free.

It's interesting to see how one local dealer keeps bouncing the price around (raising it $1,400 over Veterans' Day weekend then back down) and never seem to drop it much overall, even though it's been on the lot 170 days.

The first step for me is knowing which car, make, model and features I would like to get from the car. The most important thing is that mineco helped me buy a CRV at a good price and with minimal mileage. One of the most important checks I do when checking the car I am considering is to put it on a lift in the service department and carefully inspect the bottom.
