With 6 generations of the V on the road today, knowing the year & trim level of the vehicle in question helps those asking & those willing to respond.
Please take these next comments as an aid to help you enjoy this forum. They are not, and never has been, meant as an assault on the person posting something here on the forum.
A common problem with posts about vehicle problems is that the OP, for whatever reason, does not include information to help solve this problem. Far too many times, I've read threads that spend the first page of responses in sorting out what vehicle is in question. I've noticed this on posts from rookies to experienced forum members.
A good example is power steering. Gens1, 2, 3 [1997 - 2012] have the traditional fluid power steering assistance. Because of the addition of LKAS & other safety features, Honda made the decision to go to an electric assisted steering mechanism starting with the Gen4 [2013 - present]. AFAIK, there was no technology to combine the LKAS with the traditional fluid assisted system.
Imagine, someone posting that their power steering doesn't work, with no additional information. Several earnest forum members with good intentions may tell the OP that all they need to to is do a power steering fluid flush. Another forum member tells the OP to check on the drive belt to the fluid pump. A third forum member tells the OP to check for leaks on the hydraulic hoses. Another forum member says to check the rubber bellows at either end of the steering rack for cracks or failures. Another forum member goes off with YT videos on how to check your power steering system.
After 4, 5, 6 forum member posts offering solutions, the OP writes back that they can't see anything that looks like a P/S pump. That begets another round along these lines: "Are you sure that you are looking at the correct side of the engine?" etc. To which the OP writes back, "I know what I am looking for." Things then go downhill faster than a toboggan run on Mt. Everest.
From personal experience, I can guarantee you that if you stick around here, another forum member will post a problem. You, with your experience with your vehicle, will be the one who helps the OP solve their problem via the post you contributed. If you look at the list of Moderators, a dime to a dollar says that each of us started out with a not so smart OP.
Good luck. Enjoy your vehicle.
