Vin number should be visible through your windshield and a sticker on your A pillar. Which engine do you have?

Reviews for that app in Apple store are pretty negative. Apparently there is a dongle that your dealer has to install? Perhaps that is an OBD2 connected device. If its anything like the Honda apps we get in the US, don't bother.
