Does anyone have a real world photo of the molten lava? It's maybe a bit too bold, but I'm intrigued. Also love the gunmetal.

 

Those are the two colors I'm interested in as well. I really wish that Honda would provide the dealers with actual color swatches, and not just have customers depend on what's in the brochures. I was sold on the Molten Lava Pearl but when I looked at it on two different computer displays, it appears on the Honda website kind of like that *orange* that Nissan has. But after seeing a pic of an actual 2017 in that color in this thread, I'm sure that it's what I want.

My personal fav is White. But my wife and son don't like it. My second favorite is probably the Gunmetal.

 

I like the color of our 2017 CVR , sandstorm metallic which is not listed in the poll. It needs to be washed after 1,100 miles in four days. It matches our house in Florida!

Yeah, couple of colors missing.

 

Here is a Sandstorm Metallic. The EX I just ordered is in production, but they had this for me to snap a picture of.

 

the gun metal metallic actually looks REALLLLLLLY GOOD, because its the only color that blends well with the hideous touring wheels.

so its either that or the black.

 

The Basque Red 2 color really goes well with the rims too. Its a deep darker burgundy color.

Yes thinkin about molten lava have not seen close up yet also like white diamond and the blue ( usuallu my fav color)

Has anyone seen a molten lava on a lot yet? My dealer said he hasn't seen any and none are on the way to them. He thinks they may have not started production on that color yet. My only other choice is the white but I typically like color!

 

I haven't seen one in person but I think that's the color for me. A dealer search within 80-90 miles of me only turned up a couple, none in the touring trim. I'll wait, I'm not going to settle. That color is hot on the crv. Inventories are growing every day. Most of the colors seem so generic. Not a fan of white, silver, gray. I used to only drive black vehicles but I don't feel up to the constant maintenance any more.

 

I already have the basque red on my 2007 crv, at least it's a very similar red to that one. None of the other colors do anything for me, boring grey/silvers and black/white. Look at any parking lot and that is all you see. I was trying to convince myself to like the diamond white because I didn't want to wait for the molten lava, but I just can't bring myself to do it. So, the wait begins.

I was thinking of the Molten Lava (I have seen it I person) but I wanted the flecks of metallic and did not want the White again though it was a fantastic color. One reason I did not choose the Molten is because I didn't want the ivory interior.

Do tell! If Molten Lava isn't metallic, what makes it "molten"?

I definitely feel you on this. That was also my initial thinking, but the combination has grown on me, mostly because I want that exterior color!

 

Did they rename "Copper Sunset Pearl" to "Molten Lava Pearl", or is this a new color?

 

I drove the 2016 Copper..totally different colors.

 

Could you try to explain the color? Is the dominant color red or orange? From pics, it appears the red is. My dealer has been very difficult to work with, never seems to have any info and resistant to research info for me. He told me he 'thinks' the molten lava hasn't been released yet but didn't really put any effort to look into it for me. Obviously it has been released as may on here have seen it, what state are you in?

 

There are a bunch of dealers advertising them on their lots, so they prob just started shipping

 

Wow, surprised there is no love for black pearl.

 

I live in FL and one dealer told me that there are five (Molten Lava) in Miami, but they expect to sell them easily so trying to swap for one would more than likely be futile.

 

What makes it molten is that it's kind of a red that's also a bit orange..like Molten Lava. That would have been choice one if it was metallic and the interior wasn't so light. I just wanted a color of Borge exterior and interior that was completely different than my last crv.
