White flakes coming out of the dash vents, when the AC is on. AC evaporator gone bad?

Only recently, I noticed small white flakes, maybe salt grain size, coming out of the vents, only when the AC is on.
Other threads have mentioned that it's particles of the AC evaporator being blown through the vents. If that is indeed the culprit, does it need to be replaced, or can it be cleaned, etc?

I did, yes. I don’t see any of these particles in the filter., or surrounding areas.
I’ve been in Vegas for the last year and a half, but only this summer did I notice this issue when running the air conditioning.

Are you able to capture any of the white flakes and inspect them using a 10x magnifier?

I ask because perhaps it is actually from some left over adhesive paper label on an internal blower channel or port. If it were to appear to be paper on inspection... that could very well be what is causing it. In any event, a better understanding of what the actual material is in those white flecks probably would help you isolate the cause.

Good luck putting the hammer to this mystery. (y) :)

Still seeing some particles coming out for the first 30 seconds or so when running AC.
This is after removing old the cabin filter & running AC on high for a few minutes AND installing new filter and running AC, for about the last week. Not sure there would be that much debris left over from the old filter, if that was the issue.
