Teh Stock tire is 205-70-15 I want to go up a smidge to 205-75-15

Basically, the width is the same but the grow just over 3/4" in height.
Anyone do this and have issues with rubbing when turned lock to lock?
This should help fuel economy on teh long highway drives and will bring my speedo very very close at 60 MPH

Unlike the G2 and G3, the G1 doesn't have much room under the front suspension. IMO 3/4" total diameter increase would be fine but you never know until you get the wheels/tires on.

+1 for the Fuel Max tires, I usually don't buy into those sort of claims but they actually do work amazingly enough. My Parents have them on their G3 and mileage went up 1-2mpg on the highway.

I gambled and bought Snows.. I swap the snows on and off as the snow falls so I figured if there was a slight issue, I would be only driving with them for a total of a few thousand miles a year. I would just take it easy on tight turns and wherever else the problem occurred. No issues at all. No lock to lock interference, no hitting anything anywhere even on heavy bumps. They were fine. I needed to replace my Summer tires and I did the same. In fact the speedometer is more accurate at 60MPH according to my GPS.
Do it

Perfect, thanks for the update.

I get some pretty good deals for rubber through 1 specicifc brand, and they really didnt have much I was interested in sized 205/70-15. I figured the 3% diffrence when moving to a 205/75-15 would hurt that much, but I really wanted to hear from someone who did it.

Thanks!

the only issue is in the rear when you set the new tires on the crv and lower back down on the suspension it really clos to the front side of the rear tire there is a piece of body panel that 2 pieces comes together just use a hammer and hammer it back and you will not have a issue at all. i just recommend after hammer the metal back hitting that spot with a little bit of undercaariage proter paint or black paint will do the trickas well

good luck

EF CIVIC... I hear you, That's why I posed the question to begin with. Nice to know that it will work out OK.

I thought EGHseries was kidding when he talked about the piece of Metal... I just went out to see...There is a bent piece in the front of the rear wheel well that turns in to the tire It is 1/2" a way.. Poses no issues. Heck the front calipers are about 1/8" away from the Rim. I've put over 10K miles on these larger tires. No rubs no taps into anything and we've been down some ugly dirt roads .
If you makes you feel better you can take a pair of pliers and bent that Tab .. no reason to ...there are no signs of rubbing .. the thing is 1/2" away. that's plenty .

Yeah, Finding a "off road ish" tire for the factory wheels is a bit challenging, at least in the brands I normally prefer. I think I have found one I want, we will see. Ill post up a little review if I get them.

Thanks again for the info everyone.
