Hi all,

Due to noises coming from the rear drive / differential I decided to do a conversion that I have read is popular in the USA..
I removed the Prop shaft, then had my local garage remove the 2 rear half shafts at the joint that goes into the wheels. Therefore the wheels were NOT removed and the wheel bearings were left alone.
They also removed the actual rear differential unit..

The car drives very well indeed and feels definitely more responsive and less vibrations through the body.

When I look underneath at the wheel centres I see the remains of the driveshaft joint / grease..

In an ideal world I would like to replace the stub axles with ones off a Honda FWD vehicle of some sort..
Has anyone got any information on which stub axle parts would fit a mk 3 2007 CR-V ?
Its purely a cosmetic thing as the car drives well and there is no wheel looseness or noises of any sort.

Thanks in advance for any information..

P.S I am in the UK if that makes any difference.

hi
i have just joined the crv owners club i work on honda cars for a main dealer,
the vibration from the rear is when you are on full lock very noticable,
this is due to moisture contaminating the rear diff oil you can get this
sorted by doing a diff flush by draining the oil for one hour,
then refill with new oil run vehicle until oil is hot in rear diff.
doing figure of eight four or five times drain again put fresh oil in again,
vibration gone hope this helps.
