congrats on the upcoming baby. i just welcomed my 1st grandson july 18. the cr-v has plenty of room for the car seat. the stroller should fit fine in the back. the ex has the cargo shelf which will make hauling more stuff easier (i believe it is optional on others).
the ex has nicer cloth for the seats, a sunroof and aluminum wheels over the lx model. there may be other features i miss, but we wanted the ex and didn't look at any lx units-see your dealer for a brochure.
