CRV 2.2 CDTi drive belt - Which one?

Hi.

I have a 2008 2.2 CDTi and have been trying to source a replacement drive belt.
I have discovered there are 2 different lengths of belt 1785 and 2264 but I can find no information on which one I actually need for the vehicle.

Does anyone know other than removing the drivebelt from the car how to figure out which is the correct one?

Cheers

Assuming you are looking at replacing the accessory or serpentine belt. The diesel has a timing chain.
My guess is that it’s a matter of looking at Petrol v diesel.
Your local motor factor or even Halfords should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Thanks Rocky, you are right I am referring to the accessory belt however no-one seems to be able to give me the right answer.
I have checked everywhere and spoken to several parts suppliers and they all just stand there looking dumb when they realise there are 2 belt sizes because none of their parts catalogues can distinguish which should be the right one.

I guess I will just have to remove the belt and measure it :(

If you go on Ebay and put in Honda crv Mk3 08 2.2 cdti serpentine belt it will come up with say a Gates belt which will list
select your vehicle. You input your vehicle and it will tell you which belt you want.you can then check the length in the manufactures details.Mine is a 2.2cdti 09 which is 7v 1785 this is with A/C but I can't think what else can be driven to require the extra length, also if you order on line and put in your registration they will check it agaist your car model to see if it's right.
