Hello Group,
Been through hell with my new 2016 HONDA CRV Diesel, Bought this car May 2016 and since then no peace of mind. been to the dealer almost 5 times with one issues or the other, the last one was DPF light came on 3rd time within 6 months the dealer Holdcroft Honda Warrinton and Honda uk , claim that the car not been driven enough. someone should help me do this calculation I got 12k millage every year which means i must do 1000 milage every months. when i went for my first year servicing i did over 12000 and Honda and the Dealer still saying i did not drive the car enough, I worked in Liverpool and I Live in Manchester, They also said the car not been to motorway, if anyone know this 2 location there is no way you will get to Liverpool with going through motorway and you cant do 30 miles on this road. Also when We bought this car no one told us we need to use this car like Taxi or cab, all we were told was we must not exceed our agreed millages, we were also advise not to exhaust all our mileages as this will add value to the car at end of our 3 years, we were
also told that the got the best technology money can buy. This car cost me over ÂŁ30k. The Last time this happen was 5th of September and I took the car to dealer to reset which Honda refuse to pay and I pay for this myself and within 4 days I had accident with car and after repair insurance discover this issue again and refused to pay for it. how on earth can this happened again within 4 day and already done 300 miles with this period and this Dealer and Honda UK still saying I did not drive the car enough. now the car is with my dealer that I bought the car from Holdcroft Honda Warrington. Already involve the Motor Ombudsman, BBC Rip off Britain and my Lawyer. Greatest regret of my life was leaving my Toyota Rav 4 for this Honda CRV, Please Avoid this Model like plaque, Extremely dissatisfy customer

As far as I know all modern diesel engines have the DPF issue, Honda or Toyota or any other.
It's not about total km but about enough distance in one take and at a temperature high enough to allow the filter to burn the particules it contains.
It's the same for all motors with DPF.
...it's a good reason to go for a longer drive the weekend!
