Looks interesting.

I do not use one, knowing I have a good Battery, and it's going to down to -37 degrees with the wind chill Tonight!

I will let that sucker warm up tomorrow morning though, that's for sure!

I've gone the way with the Optional Honda Block Heater on my wife's '04 EX AWD. Haven't had a chance to use it as yet.Not being a wrench I let Honda install it. Also have a Honda Block Heater on my '12 Ridgeline. I went through H and A accessories for my purchases.

Not a true Block Heater. That is more of an Oil Pan Heater. It will work but it will take a long time to heat the oil and have the warmth rise up into the Block. Those are best used on Air Cooled engines. Like my Snow Plowing garden tractor

I used a magnetic heater on the oil pan of an old diesel tractor and it worked great to get it started on cold days. It would not crank fast enough to start without it and it would take an hour or two to warm the oil and it would crank easily. The tractor held 7 or 8 quarts of oil. The heaters comes in several different wattages.
