Lane departure issue?

I have a 2024 sport hybrid. Seems that when I took delivery a few months ago the lane departure (not lane assist) was active without having the cruise control setting turned on. Now I noticed that lane departure only operates when cruise control is activated (not set) Is this how it always operated, or is this an issue?

Again, I'm referring to lane departure (white lines on dash display) not lane assist (green lines on dash display)

I guess I've never turned off the cruise control! But, the land departure in my 2024 Touring does work when the cruise is on and either set or not set.

Funny, there is one small section of road where the lane departure warning comes on everytime we get to that spot, and yet I know the CRV is dead center in the lane. Haven't figured out what its seeing that I'm not.

It is technically the "Road Departure Mitigation System" (which is separate from the LKAS or Lane Keeping Assist System) and I found it to be very annoying. I set mine to "Warning Only" and never gave it a second thought.
