Great i seen this before on here. Is this warranty fixable my car has 4k miles on it. I clean my steering wheel and my interior with a damp white cloth. Woke up one morning and when I got in the car I felt something on the left side steering wheel.

The photo looks a little different then in person. But you can clearly see it looks like stretching. I am sure this is not too uncommon I have already seen someone else have it on here. I see foreseeable peeling in the future since I put my hand on that spot. Maybe i should check with dealership at least to get it recorded. I had a 2014 kia soul and its interior is flawless no marks or low-quality. Even my friends Accord which has 300K has the right amount of wear for its age. I cant see this new crv steering wheel lasting anywhere near that. Boy all this talk my dad gave me that toyota and honda make the best lasting interior. Just goes to show Its just luck. I wonder what else will start to break down before it hits 15k

Good idea on documenting the problem with your dealership. Who knows, they might replace it right away or at least be more persuaded on a second complaint visit.

Never had any leather steering wheel problems on our 2004 MDX or 2007 GTI. But, I wouldn't necessarily equate poor leather with any engineering or mechanical problems in the rest of the car.

Those don't look too different from perfectly ordinary stretch marks to me, little different from what you might see in a pair of shoes or a jacket. Unlike vinyl, leather doesn't have a "finish" surface that can separate from a backing underneath.

Just weird that it went from smooth to bumping on that spot where i usally rest my hands and i remember someone on here having the same problem in the exact same spot. Anyway i will let it alone but if its starts to peel i will bring out my pitch fork.
