I didn't know a Waverunner weighed that much, must be one of the big 3 person ones you got. I know you'll be fine with the boat ramps, because I have no problems with my boat that weighs more than that. I'm not positive on the 10 hour drive though, I've done a 2 hour drive pulling my boat with no problems. But it will be under the towing capacity, so in theory you should be good to go.

The 2012 CRV has 185 HP and 163 Tq . . . . . prior years had 160 hp and 162 Tq.

I've towed our Waverunner all over the North GA area (mountains) with no problems.

 

Well, i called Honda Customer Service and they directed me to the manual. Here is a clip from the manual. Looks like i need to look at a bigger SUV to haul it around! With 4 of us including cargo, we exceed 2000 easy.

■ Total trailer weight
Maximum allowable weight of the trailer,
cargo, and everything in or on it must not
exceed 1,500 lbs (680 kg). Towing loads in
excess of this can seriously affect vehicle
handling and performance and can damage
the engine and drivetrain.

 

If there are 4 of you . . . add in luggage . . . and considering cabin space . . . I would get a larger SUV too.

If it was only 2 . . . then I'd be appreciating the fantastic gas milage that the Honda CRV gives me.

I'm on the Ford Explorer forums a lot, and many there complain about the poor gas milage. Here on this forum, many complain about the (lack of) power. You just can't have both I guess.

i supose they mean the weight of the complete trailer, not the cargo in the car,

in europe (Belgium) this would not be a problem, we tow 3300 pounds with the automatic version, even more with the manual's
