He said that he took the pressure stems out of the old wheels and installed them in the new ones.

I have a '06 Si and the first thing I did was try to fit those on my '09 criv. I hand tightened the nuts and it locked up on the caliper.

Did you have to use spacers? They look great!

 

He didn't mention anything about spacers.
Now that you mention it, the calipers do look pretty damn close to the wheel.

Maybe there is a difference between the 08 Civic rims, or the 07 CRV.

to make sure theres a space for the Si rims...

As I was washing the wheels this weekend, I checked the gap between the inside of the wheel and the caliper. It appears to be TOUCHING a tiny bit.

This can't be possible, or else the car wouldn't move, or else it would produce a loud squeal or screech... right?

I should probably put some ~3mm spacers on there to be safe.

Although, I guess if it works, it works.
I could also grind the calipers down a hair as well.

The inside of the front wheels had a wear mark where the caliper was rubbing a little.

I put some 3mm spacers on and there is a good 2mm gap between the wheel and the caliper now.

 

Well, a little late was I....

They're gone. $275 works out to be about $68 per wheel.

Maybe next time.

 

i needed spacers and went big w/ my 1st gen. i love the si rims on crvs. first time i saw a set of sis on a crv was when i came across qwrty's crv!

wow those 8TH gen si wheels look great. I have seen them on a Honda Odessy around my town. Never on a CRV though. My have to give my 07 si's a test fit on the crv and see how they feel

 

sorry to revive this old thread, i found the exact same mags, I just want to be sure, using 3mm spacers, while losing 3mm of lug turning is safe and ok?
this touch the caliper when I put them on.
