Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and this is my first time posting....

I am looking at buying a used 07' CR-V and have a question on how to tell if the vehicle is an AWD of FWD type. I asked the owner and he has told me it is an AWD vehicle but I don't see any corresponding paperwork indicating it as such, i.s. Title or bill of sale. When looking at the vehicle I don't see any identifying markings to indicate it is AWD. Is there a way to tell by looking at the vehicke either on the exterior or interior? I need to know this before purchasing the vehicle so any help would be greatlr appreciated.

The only "mark" that Honda places on the car is a sticker in the back window that says "AWD" in small writing.

I guess Honda decided that any further identification was unessesary.

But yes, like others said, check for drive shafts going to each rear wheel. If you look under the car, you will also see a diffrential/clutch packs which has an aluminum housing and the pilot shaft which is a large drive shaft running down the center of the vehicle. There are no other visual differences.
